Blogilates Beginner Calendar 2.0: Week 1 Check-In

Hi everyone! So my first week of the Blogilates Beginner Calendar 2.0 is done and I'm honestly SO happy I decided to take on this challenge, because not only is it fun, but I'm already seeing some changes in my body! (I know! Even after only 1 week!). I'm really loving this calendar because you're doing something new every day so you're never bored. Plus it doesn't require any weights or machines. Just you and a yoga mat. I've already noticed that parts of my body that used to be really weak (*ahem, my abs*), are already getting stronger! I really believe that this is working. Every workout gets me sore and I'm challenged every step of the way but somehow I'm having fun? Today is my rest day and I'm almost sad that I don't get to work out today (and this is coming from the girl that used to hate working out!) Today I had to make the 2-Ingredient Pancake recipe (2 eggs and 1 ripe Banana), which was okay. Definitely no buttermilk pancak

Sample Sunday: Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Review

Hey everyone! So I'm back to reviewing products from my sample stash and I was SO excited to try this one out, considering how hyped up it was. This product has made it's way around the beauty community and everyone raves about how good it smells, so I was pretty excited to give it a shot. This stuff has the most exotic, unique scent I've honestly ever smelled. To be honest, I don't think I could even describe it. It's the most sexy combination of sweet and spicy, you need to smell it for yourself if you haven't. The cream itself was very light but absolutely provided moisture to my skin which I loved. Not greasy at all, almost whipped in consistency. It also leaves a really nice shimmer all over your skin, so you basically glow like a goddess when the light hits you. This is definitely not an every day moisturizer (considering firstly the price and the fact that there is shimmer in it), but a great luxury item to have for when you're going out. I

Join Me on my Fitness Journey!

Hey everyone! Since I'm no longer spending every waking moment studying, I've realized how much I've really let myself go when it comes to my diet and fitness. So this summer, I'm challenging myself to have a better diet and to workout more often! Sometimes it's not always possible for me to make it to the gym every day, so in addition to going to the gym, I'm taking on the Blogilates Beginner Calendar, starting July 1st. I really recommend you guys trying it out with me! I'm going to be posting weekly check-ins on each of the 4 weeks of the calendar (so every Sunday) to talk about how I'm feeling and how I'm liking the program! Lets see some results! Let me know in the comments if you want to join me in this! I'm so excited! xo

June Favourites!

Another month has come to an end, which means it's time for my monthly favourites! I have  smaller bunch of products this month, but I love them all so much. Some of them are new to me and others are rediscovered old favourites.  First, I've really been loving my Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade 'Donut' . It's the most perfect bright pink colour that looks so pretty in the summertime. I've really been reaching for this one a lot, especially since I've been keeping my eye looks a bit more neutral. I've also gotten a lot of use out of my Annabelle BB Compact Makeup , as I'm sure you can tell by the generous amount of pan I've hit on it. I use this powder to set my makeup. It adds an extra little bit of coverage, and darkens my foundation a little bit, which is good since the foundation I'm using right now is my winter shade, so a little too light.  Of course, I've been roped in by the hype surrounding the L'Oreal Voluminous

Review: Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

Hey guys! So I was lucky enough to be sent the Revlon Mega Multiplier mascara for free from Influenster in return of a review, and I've been so excited to try it out! I'm always up to try a new mascara from the drugstore. The package claims that the product will give you an "oversized lash look" which obviously intrigued me a lot. However as you'll see in the close up pictures further down, the product didn't really give me that false lash effect. I really enjoyed the packaging itself. The black part is a sleek, matte texture similar to what you see on Nars packaging, and the top is a vibrant blue plastic. I was definitely drawn in by the wand of it. One of my holy grail mascaras is the Essence Lash Princess mascara (and it's only like $5, pick it up, friends) and it has a wand nearly identical to this one. So first impressions were promising for this product. The Final Verdict I think that this is a great mascara for every day lashe

Saturday Swatches: Clinique All About Eyeshadow Quad

I love Clinique skincare. But when it comes to their makeup products, I really haven't tried all that much. A while back  I went to a Cosmetics Company Outlet, and this quad was included in one of the sets I picked up. These aren't really colours I'd normally gravitate towards, but the more I look at it, the more I find it super pretty. The shadows themselves are very smooth and decently pigmented. I find them pretty easy to blend as well. My only issue with this quad is that I wish there was a matte transition shade. The shade 'Sunset Glow' might have been it, but it comes off a bit more on the metallic side when applied to the skin.  Regardless, you can still create a pretty and cohesive look using only this palette, for sure. I really do think this was a well thought out quad that gives you the basics you absolutely need: a creamy white/highlight shade, a crease shade, your pop of colour and a dark shade to smoke it up.  As you can see, San

Review: Acure Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil

My skin is going through a phase. It is drier than the desert in July and I've been trying my best to rehydrate it, which means I've tested out a TON of products in the past couple weeks, which of course I will review for you all. Today we're talking about the  Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil from Acure, in the rose scent. I am someone who swears by oils. Be it for my skin or my hair, I'm a huge believer in the benefits of using an oil to solve any of your dryness issues. This oil is a nice one. While it is argan oil, I find it has a subtle citrusy lemongrass scent (even though it says that it's rose scented!) Alright so let's talk about what makes this oil great; Lightweight and quickly absorbed Multipurpose: works great in hair, on cuticles, and on any dry areas of the skin Scent is subtle and fades away after a while  Suitable for sensitive skin Organic, Vegan, Cruelty Free, Sulfate Free and Paraben Free Honestly this is great stuff to hav
